Thank you for shopping with Lofoten Gaver og Brukskunst AS (“we”, “our”, “us”). We ship worldwide, and this policy applies to all purchases from our online store.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Change of Mind)

Customers in the EU/EEA (including Norway) have a 14-day right of withdrawal (“cooling-off period”) from the day after receipt of the goods.

Returned goods must be in original condition: unused, unwashed, undamaged, with all tags and packaging intact.

To use this right, email us at post@gave.no within 14 days of receiving the goods.

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days after we receive and approve the return.
Important:
Custom-made / print-on-demand products (see section 2) and sealed hygiene products (see section 3) are excluded from this right of withdrawal.
2. Custom-Made / Print-on-Demand Products

Many products are produced specifically for each order via our print-on-demand partners.

These items are not eligible for return or exchange due to buyer’s remorse (wrong size, color, etc.), as they cannot be resold.

However, if such an item arrives misprinted, damaged, defective, or incorrect, you may request a refund or replacement.

Claims must be submitted within 30 days after receipt and must include your order number and photos showing the issue.
3. Sealed & Hygiene-Sensitive Products

Items such as face masks or similar sealed hygiene products cannot be returned once opened, unless they are defective.

If such an item is returned opened and not defective, it will be disposed of and no refund will be issued.
4. Rental Products

If you return a rented item (such as a bicycle) earlier than the agreed rental period, no refund will be issued unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance.

If the rental item is defective or unsafe, notify us immediately. In that case, the rules for defective items (section 5) apply.
5. Defective, Damaged, Mis-Shipped, or Lost Shipments

Claims for defective, damaged, misprinted, or incorrect items must be submitted within 30 days after delivery.

Claims for packages lost in transit must be submitted within 30 days after the estimated delivery date.

If we confirm an error on our part, we will cover the cost of return shipping and provide a replacement or refund.
6. Shipping Issues: Wrong Address or Unclaimed Packages

If you provide an incorrect or incomplete address, and the order is returned, you are responsible for reshipment costs after providing a correct address.

If a shipment is unclaimed and returned to us, you are responsible for the cost of reshipment.

If unclaimed items remain with us for more than 30 days, we may donate them to charity without issuing a refund.
7. Returns Process

Contact us at post@gave.no before returning any products.

Include your order number, reason for return, and photos if relevant.

We will confirm the return address (usually our facility in Leknes).

Use a trackable shipping method and keep proof of postage.

Once received and approved, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days.
8. Legal Framework & Consumer Rights

This policy is governed by Norwegian law, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply.

For EU customers: Under Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(c) and (e), the right of withdrawal does not apply to

goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized

sealed goods unsealed after delivery that are unsuitable for return for health/hygiene reasons

This policy is provided in English and will be interpreted according to its English version, regardless of any translations.

Your statutory rights (including guarantee rights) are not affected.
